Tony Lazzeri (full name: Anthony Michael Lazzeri; Poosh 'Em Up Tony) played second baseman, third baseman and shortstop from 1929 until 1939 for the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants. He played for the Yankees from 1929 - 1937, Cubs in 1938, Dodgers in 1939 and Giants in 1939. Over 14 seasons, he played 1740 games, hit 178 home runs, drove in 986 runs, and stole 148 bases. Born on December 6, 1903 in San Francisco, CA, Lazzeri stood 5' 11" and weighed 170 lb. He attended Galileo (San Francisco, CA) (All Transactions) high school.
