Tony Cloninger (full name: Tony Lee Cloninger; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1961 until 1972 for the Milwaukee Braves, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Braves from 1961 - 1965, Braves from 1966 - 1968, Reds from 1968 - 1971 and Cardinals in 1972. Over 12 seasons, he started 247 games, won 113 games, struck out 1120 batters, and had a 4.07 ERA. Born on August 13, 1940 in Lincoln County, NC, Cloninger stands 6' 0" and weighs 210 lb. He attended Rock Springs (Denver, NC) high school. His debut was on June 15, 1961 and he played his final game on July 22, 1972.
