About Tommy Albelin:
Tommy Albelin (full name: Tommy Albelin; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1988 until 2006 for the Quebec Nordiques, New Jersey Devils and Calgary Flames. He played for the Nordiques from 1988 - 1989, Devils from 1989 - 2006 and Flames from 1996 - 2001. Over 18 seasons, he played 952 games, scored 44 goals, and made 211 assists. Born in Stockholm, Sweden on May 21, 1964, Albelin stands 6-2 and weighs 195 lbs. He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the 8th round (158th overall) of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. Albelin officially announced retirement on July 29, 2004.
