Tom Winsett (full name: John Thomas Winsett; Long Tom) played leftfielder from 1931 until 1938 for the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals and Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Red Sox from 1931 - 1933, Cardinals in 1935 and Dodgers from 1936 - 1938. Over 7 seasons, he played 230 games, hit 8 home runs, drove in 60 runs, and stole 3 bases. Born on November 24, 1909 in McKenzie, TN, Winsett stood 6' 2" and weighed 190 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 20, 1930 and he played his final game on May 1, 1938.
