Tom Veryzer (full name: Thomas Martin Veryzer; no nicknames) played shortstop from 1973 until 1984 for the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets and Chicago Cubs. He played for the Tigers from 1973 - 1977, Indians from 1978 - 1981, Mets in 1982 and Cubs from 1983 - 1984.
