Tom Heinsohn (full name: Thomas William Heinsohn; Tom, Tommy, Ack-Ack) played Forward-Center from 1957 until 1965 for the Boston Celtics. Over 9 seasons, he played 654 games, scored 12194 points (18.6 ppg) and grabbed 5749 rebounds (8.8 rpg). Heinsohn also dished out 1318 assists (2.0 apg), made steals (0.0 spg), and blocked shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Union City, New Jersey on August 26, 1934, Heinsohn stands 6-7 and weighs 218 lbs. He attended high school at Saint Michael's in Union City, New Jersey and college at College of the Holy Cross. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 1956 NBA draft (territorial selection). He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1986.
