He played for the Cardinals from 1957 - 1959, Pirates from 1960 - 1961 and Senators from 1961 - 1966. Over 8 seasons, he started 71 games, won 19 games, struck out 345 batters, and had a 3.77 ERA. Born on October 14, 1934 in Morgan, GA, Cheney stood 5' 11" and weighed 170 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 21, 1957 and he played his final game on May 9, 1966. Common misspellings of his name include Thomas Edgar tim Tom tommy Cheney.
