Tod Murphy (full name: Tod James Murphy; no nicknames) played Center-Forward from 1988 until 1994 for the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors. Over 5 seasons, he played 191 games, scored 1049 points (5.5 ppg) and grabbed 941 rebounds (4.9 rpg). Murphy also dished out 183 assists (1.0 apg), made 113 steals (0.6 spg), and blocked 88 shots (0.5 bpg) during his career. Born in Long Beach, California on December 24, 1963, Murphy stands 6-9 and weighs 220 lbs. He attended high school at Lakewood in Lakewood, California and college at University of California, Irvine. He was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in the 3rd round (6th pick, 53rd overall) of the 1986 NBA draft.
