He played for the Mariners from 1990 - 1995, Yankees from 1996 - 2005, Cardinals from 2002 - 2003 and Devil Rays in 2004. Over 16 seasons, he played 2023 games, hit 339 home runs, drove in 1008 runs, and stole 27 bases. Born on December 7, 1967 in Tampa, FL, Martinez stands 6' 2" and weighs 205 lb. He attended Jefferson (Tampa, FL) high school and was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 1st round (14th pick) of the 1988 amateur draft. His debut was on August 20, 1990 and he played his final game on October 2, 2005. Over his career, Martinez made $51,945,000.
