Presently a free agent, Timoniel M. "Timo" Pérez is a Dominican Republic-born Major Baseball outfielder whose career revolved around playing for seven different teams. Perez' career as a professional started in 1996 to 1999 where he played for the Japanese Central League of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp .
In 2000, Perez signed up with the New York Mets as a free agent. That year, he made his debut. Perez played five games for the Mets during the World Series where he hit two in 17 at-bats. He became a regular for the Mets from 2000 to 2003 where he played 372 games.
Perez played for the Chicago White Sox in 2005. In 2006, he signed up for the Cincinnati Reds o a minor league and was later promoted.
The Detroit Tigers signed up Perez in 2007 to replace Marcus Thames who was injured. He led the league with his remarkable runs, hits, and doubles. He signed up with the Tigers again in December 2007 and in January 2009. After Tigers released him in April 2009, he signed up with the Mexican League for the Rojas del Aguila de Veracruz of , then with the Los Angeles Dodgers until July 7, 2010 when he got his release.
