Tim McCarver (full name: James Timothy McCarver; no nicknames) played catcher and first baseman from 1959 until 1980 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, Montreal Expos and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Cardinals from 1959 - 1974, Phillies from 1970 - 1980, Expos in 1972 and Red Sox from 1974 - 1975. Over 21 seasons, he played 1909 games, hit 97 home runs, drove in 590 runs, and stole 61 bases. Born on October 16, 1941 in Memphis, TN, McCarver stands 6' 0" and weighs 183 lb. He attended Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN) high school. His debut was on September 10, 1959 and he played his final game on October 5, 1980. Over his career, McCarver made $326,000.
