Ted Wilks (full name: Theodore Wilks; Cork) played pitcher from 1944 until 1953 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Cardinals from 1944 - 1951, Pirates from 1951 - 1952 and Indians from 1952 - 1953. Over 10 seasons, he started 44 games, won 59 games, struck out 403 batters, and had a 3.26 ERA. Born on November 13, 1915 in Fulton, NY, Wilks stood 5' 9" and weighed 178 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 25, 1944 and he played his final game on August 5, 1953.
