Ted Ginn used to play as a junior football player serving as wide receiver, punt and kick returner for Ohio State University’s Ohio State Buckeyes aside from that he also has the Ted Ginn autographed Ohio State University mini helmet as a valuable item to collect.
Ginn first played football when he attended Glenville High School where he was under the guidance of his father Ted Ginn, Sr. and Buckeye quarterback, Troy Smith. Due to his performance in high school football, he was awarded as 2004 USA Today Defensive Player of the Year. In addition to that, Ginn was also selected SuperPrep National Defensive Player of the Year and US Army All-America game’s Most Valuable Player on that same year leading to the recognition of the Ted Ginn autographed Ohio State University mini helmet as a precious sport item sought by fans. Aside from playing football, he was also a track and field participant with a national championship award for 110 meter hurdles event.
With his kickoff in the 2006 season, many were already eyeing on him as prospect for the Heisman Trophy and Biletnikoff Award. Using his outstanding speed and agility, coupled with the power to make usual plays into big gains and touchdowns, Ginn was able to draw people’s attention and praises. He took a good start in the 2007 BCS National Championship Game when he made 92 yards for a touchdown. While celebrating for his touchdown comeback, Ginn also suffered an injury from his teammate Roy Hall. In 2007, he declared himself eligible to take part in the 2007 National Football League Draft.
