Tamar Slay (full name: Tamar Ulysses Slay; no nicknames) played Guard from 2003 until 2005 for the New Jersey Nets and Charlotte Bobcats. Over 3 seasons, he played 66 games, scored 173 points (2.6 ppg) and grabbed 70 rebounds (1.1 rpg). Slay also dished out 31 assists (0.5 apg), made 26 steals (0.4 spg), and blocked 4 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Beckley, West Virginia on April 2, 1980, Slay stands 6-8 and weighs 215 lbs. He attended high school at Woodrow Wilson in Beckley, West Virginia and college at Marshall University. He was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the 2nd round (25th pick, 53rd overall) of the 2002 NBA draft.
