Syl Apps (full name: Syl Apps; no nicknames) played center from 1971 until 1980 for the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Los Angeles Kings. He played for the Rangers in 1971, Penguins from 1971 - 1978 and Kings from 1978 - 1980. Over 10 seasons, he played 727 games, scored 183 goals, and made 423 assists. Born in Toronto, Ontario on August 1, 1947, Apps stands 6-0 and weighs 185 lbs. He was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 4th round (21st overall) of the 1964 NHL Amateur Draft.
