About Stuart Gray Memorabilia & Collectibles

 

Part Panamanian Stuart Gray is a retired professional basketball player. While still in the NBA, he played for the Indiana Pacers, the Charlotte Hornets and the New York Knicks. Gray was born in Panama Canal Zone in Panama. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles and played for the university’s basketball team from 1981 to 1983. Throughout his entire college career, Gray was able to come up with an average of 7.5 ppg. 

 

He decided to enter the 1984 NBA Draft and was picked by the Indiana Pacers during the second round of the draft. Gray was the 29th overall pick in the draft. He played for the Pacers from 1984 all the way to 1988. His best season with the Pacers was in 1987 when he was able to post a 3.0 ppg average.  

 

In 1989, Gray was traded to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Dyron Nix. He was not able to play for the Hornets; rather, he was traded to the New York Knicks. With the Knicks, he was able to post a 1.4 ppg average and got to play for a total of eight games. 

 

Gray was waived in 1991 and then proceeded to retire.

Stuart Gray (full name: Stuart Allan Gray; no nicknames) played Center-Forward from 1985 until 1991 for the Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Hornets and New York Knickerbockers. Over 7 seasons, he played 386 games, scored 906 points (2.3 ppg) and grabbed 1020 rebounds (2.6 rpg). Gray also dished out 148 assists (0.4 apg), made 64 steals (0.2 spg), and blocked 133 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Panama Canal Zone, Panama on May 27, 1963, Gray stands 7-0 and weighs 235 lbs. He attended high school at John F. Kennedy in Granada Hills, California and college at University of California, Los Angeles. He was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 2nd round (5th pick, 29th overall) of the 1984 NBA draft.
