Stu Martin (full name: Stuart McGuire Martin; no nicknames) played second baseman and third baseman from 1936 until 1943 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs. He played for the Cardinals from 1936 - 1940, Pirates from 1941 - 1942 and Cubs in 1943. Over 8 seasons, he played 722 games, hit 16 home runs, drove in 322 runs, and stole 36 bases. Born on November 19, 1912 in Rich Square, NC, Martin stood 6' 0" and weighed 155 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 14, 1936 and he played his final game on September 6, 1943.
