About Steve Weatherford Memorabilia & CollectiblesA football punter of the National Football League’s New York Jets, Steven “Steve” Thomas Weatherford also plays basketball, soccer and track. During his high school years, he plays as a punter, safety and kicker in the school’s football team. He has received honors during his collegiate years as a football player. He got an honourable mention in the All Big Ten Conference in 2003 and the First Team All Big Ten in 2004.
On the 20th of April 2006, he was signed as an undrafted agent by the New Orleans Saints and played for sixteen games. During his stay with the team, Steve Weatherford has posted 43.8 yards per punt for seventy seven times, solo tackles for two and a 15 yard rush. When he was released by the New Orleans Saints on the 20th of October 2008, he was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs to replace Dustin Colquitt who was injured at that time. He has also signed for the Jacksonville Jaguars on the 25th of November 2009.
On the 7th of September 2009, he signed for the New York Jets playing the position of punter. Due to irregular heartbeat, he was not able to play in the first playoff game of the New York Jets.
