The reigning back-to-back NBA Most Valuable Player, Steve Nash is currently playing as a point guard for the famous NBA team, Phoenix Suns. The Canadian professional basketball player was born on February 7, 1974 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He was chosen as the 15th overall pick by the Phoenix Suns during the first round of the NBA Draft in 1996. It was on June 25, 1998 when he was traded from the Suns to the Mavericks. During the 2000-2001 season, Nash had powerfully averaged 15.6 and 7.3 assists per game. As the seasons went on, Nash had definitely improved his playing skills and in 2001-2002 season, he recorded career-highs of 17.9 PPG and 7.7 APG. He also got a spot in the NBA All-Star Game and also on the All-NBA Third Team.
