Steve Mesner (full name: Stephen Mathias Mesner; no nicknames) played third baseman from 1938 until 1945 for the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds. He played for the Cubs from 1938 - 1939, Cardinals in 1941 and Reds from 1943 - 1945. Over 6 seasons, he played 451 games, hit 2 home runs, drove in 153 runs, and stole 11 bases. Born on January 13, 1918 in Los Angeles, CA, Mesner stood 5' 9" and weighed 178 lb. He attended Riis (Los Angeles, CA) (All Transactions) high school.
