Steve Hovley (full name: Stephen Eugene Hovley; no nicknames) played outfielder from 1969 until 1973 for the Seattle Pilots, Oakland Athletics and Kansas City Royals. He played for the Pilots from 1969 - 1970, Athletics from 1970 - 1971 and Royals from 1972 - 1973. Over 5 seasons, he played 436 games, hit 8 home runs, drove in 122 runs, and stole 29 bases. Born on December 18, 1944 in Ventura, CA, Hovley stands 5' 10" and weighs 188 lb. He attended high school and was drafted by the California Angels in the 35th round of the 1966 amateur draft. His debut was on June 26, 1969 and he played his final game on September 28, 1973. Over his career, Hovley made $55,000.
