Steve Hawes (full name: Steven Sherburne Hawes; Steve) played Center-Forward from 1975 until 1984 for the Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, Atlanta Hawks and Seattle Supersonics. Over 10 seasons, he played 688 games, scored 5768 points (8.4 ppg) and grabbed 4272 rebounds (6.2 rpg). Hawes also dished out 1288 assists (1.9 apg), made 518 steals (0.8 spg), and blocked 314 shots (0.5 bpg) during his career. Born in Seattle, Washington on May 26, 1950, Hawes stands 6-9 and weighs 220 lbs. He attended high school at Mercer Island in Mercer Island, Washington and college at University of Washington. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2nd round (11th pick, 24th overall) of the 1972 NBA draft.
