Steve Brye (full name: Stephen Robert Brye; no nicknames) played outfielder from 1970 until 1978 for the Minnesota Twins, Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Twins from 1970 - 1976, Brewers in 1977 and Pirates in 1978. Over 9 seasons, he played 697 games, hit 30 home runs, drove in 237 runs, and stole 16 bases. Born on February 4, 1949 in Alameda, CA, Brye stands 6' 0" and weighs 190 lb. He attended St. Elizabeths (Oakland, CA) high school and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 1st round (17th pick) of the 1967 amateur draft.
