Steve Alford (full name: Stephen Todd Alford; Steve) played Guard from 1988 until 1991 for the Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors. Over 4 seasons, he played 169 games, scored 744 points (4.4 ppg) and grabbed 144 rebounds (0.9 rpg). Alford also dished out 176 assists (1.0 apg), made 85 steals (0.5 spg), and blocked 10 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Franklin, Indiana on November 23, 1964, Alford stands 6-2 and weighs 183 lbs. He attended high school at Chrysler in New Castle, Indiana and college at Indiana University. He was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2nd round (3rd pick, 26th overall) of the 1987 NBA draft.
