About Stephane Matteau:
Stephane Matteau (full name: Stephane Matteau; no nicknames) played left wing from 1991 until 2003 for the Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, St. Louis Blues, San Jose Sharks and Florida Panthers. He played for the Flames from 1991 - 1992, Blackhawks from 1992 - 1994, Rangers from 1994 - 1996, Blues from 1996 - 1997, Sharks from 1998 - 2002 and Panthers in 2003. Over 13 seasons, he played 848 games, scored 144 goals, and made 172 assists. Born in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec on September 2, 1969, Matteau stands 6-4 and weighs 215 lbs. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 2nd round (25th overall) of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. Matteau officially announced retirement on July 29, 2003.
