Stan Weir (full name: Stan Weir; no nicknames) played center from 1973 until 1983 for the California Golden Seals, Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Rockies and Detroit Red Wings. He played for the Golden Seals from 1973 - 1975, Leafs from 1976 - 1978, Oilers from 1980 - 1982, in 1982 and Red Wings in 1983. Over 10 seasons, he played 642 games, scored 139 goals, and made 207 assists. Born in Ponoka, Alberta on March 17, 1952, Weir stands 6-1 and weighs 180 lbs. He was drafted by the California Golden Seals in the 2nd round (28th overall) of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft.
