Stan Papi (full name: Stanley Gerard Papi; no nicknames) played third baseman, second baseman and shortstop from 1974 until 1981 for the St. Louis Cardinals, Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers. He played for the Cardinals in 1974, Expos from 1977 - 1978, Red Sox from 1979 - 1980 and Tigers from 1980 - 1981. Over 6 seasons, he played 225 games, hit 7 home runs, drove in 49 runs, and stole 2 bases. Born on February 4, 1951 in Fresno, CA, Papi stands 6' 0" and weighs 170 lb. He attended Bullard (Fresno, CA) high school and was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 2nd round of the 1969 amateur draft.
