He has dreamt of becoming a part of the NBA that dream came in 1995. He was drafted to the NBA in 1995 under the Detroit Pistons. He has also played for the Atlanta Hawks for six seasons and his best years in basketball with the Sacramento Kings in 1992-1995. He retired from basketball in 1998 after one season with the
Orlando Magic. Spud Webb was considered the shortest player in NBA standing in five feet 7 inches tall only. He received the Slam Dunk in 1986 in Dallas, Texas beating
Michael Jordan and
Dominique Wilkins.
He works now in a D-league basketball franchise as the President of Basketball Operations in Frisco, Texas.

Spud Webb (full name: Anthony Jerome Webb; Spud) played Guard from 1986 until 1998 for the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves and Orlando Magic. Over 12 seasons, he played 814 games, scored 8072 points (9.9 ppg) and grabbed 1742 rebounds (2.1 rpg). Webb also dished out 4342 assists (5.3 apg), made 922 steals (1.1 spg), and blocked 111 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Dallas, Texas on July 13, 1963, Webb stands 5-6 and weighs 133 lbs. He attended high school at Wilmer-Hutchins in Dallas, Texas and college at North Carolina State University. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 4th round (17th pick, 87th overall) of the 1985 NBA draft.
