Spencer Haywood (full name: Spencer Haywood; no nicknames) played Forward-Center from 1970 until 1983 for the Denver Rockets, Seattle Supersonics, New York Knickerbockers, New Orleans Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Bullets. Over 13 seasons, he played 844 games, scored 17111 points (20.3 ppg) and grabbed 8675 rebounds (10.3 rpg). Haywood also dished out 1541 assists (1.8 apg), made 355 steals (0.4 spg), and blocked 629 shots (0.7 bpg) during his career. Born in Silver City, Mississippi on April 22, 1949, Haywood stands 6-8 and weighs 225 lbs. He attended high school at Pershing in Detroit, Michigan and college at University of Detroit Mercy. He was drafted by the Buffalo Braves in the 2nd round (13th pick, 30th overall) of the 1971 NBA draft.
