Smoky Burgess (full name: Forrest Harrill Burgess; no nicknames) played catcher from 1949 until 1967 for the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Redlegs, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago White Sox. He played for the Cubs from 1949 - 1951, Phillies from 1952 - 1955, Redlegs from 1955 - 1958, Pirates from 1959 - 1964 and White Sox from 1964 - 1967.
