About Slater Martin:
Slater Martin (full name: Slater Nelson Martin Jr.; Dugie) played Guard from 1950 until 1960 for the Minneapolis Lakers, New York Knickerbockers and St. Louis Hawks. Over 11 seasons, he played 745 games, scored 7337 points (9.8 ppg) and grabbed 2302 rebounds (3.1 rpg). Martin also dished out 3160 assists (4.2 apg), made steals (0.0 spg), and blocked shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in El Mina, Texas on October 22, 1925, Martin stands 5-10 and weighs 170 lbs. He attended high school at Jefferson Davis in Houston, Texas and college at University of Texas at Austin. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1982.
