 Brian LaVell Hicks was born on October 13, 1974 in Corsicana, Texas. He is a retired professional football player who served as a running back for a number of teams in the National Football League. Popularly known as “Skip”, he attended Burkburnett High School in Texas where he graduated in 1993. He was a college football player in University of California in Los Angeles. As a college running back, he showed superb skills in the field that made him an All-American Pac 10 player. He even set an All-Pac 10 record of most number of touchdowns scored with 55 in his entire college career, and recorded a season high touchdowns with 26 in 1997. He entered the National Football League in 1998 as 69th overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. The Washington Redskins selected him during the third round. He also played for the NFL team Tennessee Titans. Hicks also became part of the Carolina Panthers.

Aside from NFL, he also appeared in the Canadian Football League where he played for the Toronto Argonauts in 2004. The Toronto Argonauts played in the 92nd Grey Cup but unfortunately, Hicks wasn’t able to play in that game. He recorded as career statistics of 13 touchdowns and 1, 109 rushing yards.
