Sid Monge (full name: Isidro Pedroza Monge; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1975 until 1984 for the California Angels, Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and Detroit Tigers. He played for the Angels from 1975 - 1977, Indians from 1977 - 1981, Phillies from 1982 - 1983, Padres from 1983 - 1984 and Tigers in 1984. Over 10 seasons, he started 17 games, won 49 games, struck out 471 batters, and had a 3.53 ERA. Born on April 11, 1951 in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, Monge stands 6' 2" and weighs 185 lb. He attended Brawley (Brawley, CA) high school and was drafted by the California Angels in the 24th round of the 1970 amateur draft.
