Sid Hudson (full name: Sidney Charles Hudson; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1940 until 1954 for the Washington Senators and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Senators from 1940 - 1952 and Red Sox from 1952 - 1954. Over 12 seasons, he started 279 games, won 104 games, struck out 734 batters, and had a 4.28 ERA. Born on January 3, 1915 in Coalfield, TN, Hudson stood 6' 4" and weighed 180 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 18, 1940 and he played his final game on September 25, 1954.
