Sherman Jones (full name: Sherman Jarvis Jones; Roadblock) played pitcher from 1960 until 1962 for the San Francisco Giants, Cincinnati Reds and New York Mets. He played for the Giants in 1960, Reds in 1961 and Mets in 1962. Over 3 seasons, he started 5 games, won 2 games, struck out 53 batters, and had a 4.73 ERA. Born on February 10, 1935 in Winton, NC, Jones stood 6' 4" and weighed 205 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on August 2, 1960 and he played his final game on September 9, 1962.
