Born in Elkhart, Indiana on November 26, 1969, Shawn Kemp is a former National Basketball Association player. He is considered as among the best slam dunkers in the association and he has Shawn Kemp signed Spalding mini NBA basketball UDA as a great collection for his fans.
After graduating in Concord High School, Elkart expressed his intention to play basketball at the University of Kentucky through a letter. However, just before the season started, the team kicked him off as he allegedly pawned a teammate’s necklace. It was mid-season that he transferred to Texas and attended in Trinity Valley Community College. Since his transfer was quite late, he was not able to suit up for basketball. With the absence of collegiate experience, a 19-year old Kemp held himself to be eligible for the 1989 NBA Draft. On that draft, he was picked by the Seattle Supersonics on the first round. Since then, with his spectacular leaping power, he became a personality worth watching for. Kemp sported with the nickname “Reign Man” at the end of his second season in NBA.
After this success, Kemp asked for a raise that Sonics denied to give, and instead gave Washington Bullets’ Jim Mcllvaine a five-year, $35 USD million contract. Sonics fans found this outrageous, as Kemp was also enraged. This caused tension with the management. Thus, in the 1996-1997 season, he was sent to the Cleveland Cavaliers. After three seasons, he then played for the Portland Trail Blazers, and then signed as free agent for the Orlando Magic.
