Scott Stevens, a former ice hockey defenseman of the National Hockey League was born on the 1st of April, 1964 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. He was the New Jersey Devil’s team captain and game leader.

Showing a spectacular game with the Capitals, he was asked to sign a restricted free-agent contract for the St. Louis Blues on July 16, 1990. Due to this agreement, the Blues compensated the Capitals with five first-round choices. Despite this expensive agreement, Steven’s game with the team fell short. When Brendan Shanahan, a former forward of the Devils signed the same contract that Stevens signed with the Blues, more compensation and arrangements between the Devils and Blues were made. Complex began to arise as Blues offered players the Devils do not favor – the Devils wanted Stevens. Because of this complexity, an arbitrator came in between the two owners and favored the Devils.
