Scott Hastings (full name: Scott Alan Hastings; no nicknames) played Forward-Center from 1983 until 1993 for the New York Knickerbockers, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets. Over 11 seasons, he played 578 games, scored 1647 points (2.8 ppg) and grabbed 1287 rebounds (2.2 rpg). Hastings also dished out 284 assists (0.5 apg), made 159 steals (0.3 spg), and blocked 153 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Independence, Kansas on June 3, 1960, Hastings stands 6-10 and weighs 235 lbs. He attended high school at Independence in Independence, Kansas and college at University of Arkansas. He was drafted by the New York Knickerbockers in the 2nd round (6th pick, 29th overall) of the 1982 NBA draft.
