A current head coach and former ice hockey player, Scott William Arniel is a Canadian from Kingston Ontario. He is now the head coach of the
Columbus Blue Jackets, a member of the National Hockey League. He has played for Buffalo Sabres and
Winnipeg Jets before he become a coach of the Blue Jackets. In 1981, his professional career as a hockey player was launched as he was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets as a left winger to the NHL draft. He played for five seasons with the Jets after playing full time with the team. In 1986 he connected himself with the
Buffalo Sabres for a year then returned to the Jets in 1990. He spent the rest of his hockey career playing in minor league.
At the start of the 2004-05 season he embarked in coaching and at the same time play with the Houston Aeros. And soon retired from the hockey arena and is now coaching the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Scott Arniel (full name: Scott Arniel; no nicknames) played left wing from 1982 until 1992 for the Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres and Boston Bruins. He played for the Jets from 1982 - 1991, Sabres from 1987 - 1990 and Bruins in 1992. Over 11 seasons, he played 730 games, scored 149 goals, and made 189 assists. Born in Kingston, Ontario on September 17, 1962, Arniel stands 6-1 and weighs 188 lbs. He was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2nd round (22nd overall) of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. Arniel officially announced retirement on July 15, 1999.
