Sarge Connally (full name: George Walter Connally; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1931 until 1934 for the Cleveland Indians. He played for the Indians from 1931 - 1934. Over 12 seasons, he started 67 games, won 49 games, struck out 345 batters, and had a 4.30 ERA. Born on August 31, 1898 in McGregor, TX (All Transactions), Connally stood 5' 11" and weighed 170 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 10, 1921 and he played his final game on July 18, 1934. Common misspellings of his name include George Sarge Walter Connally.
