Sam Rice (full name: Edgar Charles Rice; no nicknames) played rightfielder from 1931 until 1934 for the Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Senators from 1931 - 1933 and Indians in 1934. Over 20 seasons, he played 2404 games, hit 34 home runs, drove in 1514 runs, and stole 351 bases. Born on February 20, 1890 in Morocco, IN, Rice stood 5' 9" and weighed 150 lb. He attended Rhode Island Country (Rhode Island Country, IN) (All Transactions) high school.
