Sam Mitchell (full name: Samuel E. Mitchell Jr.; Sam) played Forward from 1990 until 2002 for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Indiana Pacers. Over 13 seasons, he played 994 games, scored 8636 points (8.7 ppg) and grabbed 3711 rebounds (3.7 rpg). Mitchell also dished out 1089 assists (1.1 apg), made 548 steals (0.6 spg), and blocked 301 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Columbus, Georgia on September 2, 1963, Mitchell stands 6-6 and weighs 210 lbs. He attended high school at Columbus in Columbus, Georgia and college at Mercer University. He was drafted by the Houston Rockets in the 3rd round (7th pick, 54th overall) of the 1985 NBA draft.
