Sam Leslie (full name: Samuel Andrew Leslie; Sambo) played first baseman from 1932 until 1938 for the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Giants from 1932 - 1938 and Dodgers from 1933 - 1935. Over 10 seasons, he played 822 games, hit 36 home runs, drove in 311 runs, and stole 14 bases. Born on July 26, 1905 in Moss Point, MS (All Transactions), Leslie stood 6' 0" and weighed 192 lb. He attended high school.
