About Sam Bowie:
Sam Bowie (full name: Samuel Paul Bowie; Sam) played Center-Forward from 1985 until 1995 for the Portland Trail Blazers, New Jersey Nets and Los Angeles Lakers. Over 10 seasons, he played 511 games, scored 5564 points (10.9 ppg) and grabbed 3845 rebounds (7.5 rpg). Bowie also dished out 1075 assists (2.1 apg), made 263 steals (0.5 spg), and blocked 909 shots (1.8 bpg) during his career. Born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on March 17, 1961, Bowie stands 7-1 and weighs 235 lbs. He attended high school at Lebanon in Lebanon, Pennsylvania and college at University of Kentucky. He was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1st round (2nd pick, 2nd overall) of the 1984 NBA draft.
