Sage Rosenfels is presently a professional American football player from Maquoketa, Iowa. He attended Maquoketa Community High School and played football, basketball, baseball, tennis, and track there. He played college football for Iowa State and led the team against the University of Pittsburgh to win the Insight.com Bowl.
Rosenfels turned pro after the Washington drafted him as the 109th overall pick in the 2001 National Football League Entry Draft. He then signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2002 and played a huge role in the biggest comeback in the Dolphins’ history since 1974. This happened in a game against the Buffalo Bills and was also instrumental to the Dolphins’ win against the New York Jets. Upon entering free agency in 2006, he signed with the Houston Texans and helped them in a game against the Tennessee Titans. In 2008, the Texans with Rosenfels played against the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens. His first win for that season was against the Cleveland Browns, and another against the Jacksonville Jaguars. By 2009, he was traded off to the Minnesota Vikings. As of 2009 season’s Week 17, he has 30 touchdowns, 29 interceptions, 4,156 passing yards and a quarterback rating of 81.2.

Born in Maquoketa, IA on March 6, 1978, Rosenfels stands 6'4 and weighs 222 lbs. He attended college at Iowa State. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the 4th round (109th overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft.
