Ryan Garko, a Major League Baseball first baseman was born on January 2, 1981 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Servite High School, Ben Francisco and Brian Wolfe, both future major league players, became his schoolmates.

 

Hee was awarded Pac-10 Co-Player of the Year while studying in Stanford University. He also received the Johnny Bench Award and was voted to the College World Series Legends Team. He bats and throw with his right hand and debuted in the MLB on September 18, 2005 for the Cleveland Indians. He likewise played for San Francisco Giants in the year 2009 and for the team Texas Rangers in 2010.

 

According to sources, Garko was a catcher before he became a first baseman. One of his notable achievements was he was ranked fifth among best Indians organizations by Baseball America in 2006.

 

In his entire career, he made an average of .279 bats, 55 home runs and 247 bats. He started as a catcher for the Indians where he batted .273 and made four home runs in his first professional season. In the Carolina League, he was named “Player of the Year” and ranked 13th among other players by Baseball America. Sources say he was also a part of Arizona Fall League in 2004 season.
