Rusty Peters (full name: Russell Dixon Peters; no nicknames) played second baseman, shortstop and third baseman from 1936 until 1947 for the Philadelphia Athletics, Cleveland Indians and St. Louis Browns. He played for the Athletics from 1936 - 1938, Indians from 1940 - 1946 and Browns in 1947. Over 10 seasons, he played 471 games, hit 8 home runs, drove in 123 runs, and stole 9 bases. Born on December 14, 1914 in Roanoke, VA, Peters stood 5' 11" and weighed 170 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 14, 1936 and he played his final game on September 28, 1947.
