Russ Hochstein is a National Football League player who was born on October 7, 1977. He attended Cedar Catholic High School where he became a famous football, basketball and track and field varsity athlete. He played as an offensive line, a middle linebacker and a defensive line during his high school career. He went to college and played for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
His National Football career started in 2001 as a fifth round selection of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2001 NFL Draft. In 2002, he played for the New England Patriots and became a starter in 2003 and in the first two games of the team in 2004. He played in the Super Bowl XXXIX as a tight end, a fullback as well as an offensive tackle. He was a starter in the last seven games in 2005.
In the 2010 NFL Draft, he was traded to the Denver Broncos where he got the chance to work with former Patriots offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels who is the head coach of the Broncos. Currently, he is still pat of the team after he resigned with them on March 5, 2010.
He played for two Super Bowl championships and was a two-time All-Big 12 selection. As of 2009, Hochstein appeared in 107 games and started 30.
