Russ Grimm, born as Russell Scott Grimm, hails from Scottdale, Pennsylvania. He is a retired football player in the National Football League. Before pursuing his NFL career, he played college football at University of Pittsburgh as a center. He made it to the National Football League in 1981 as a third round pick by the Washington Redskins. He became part of the team’s offensive line along with George Starke, Mark May, Joe Jacoby and Jeff Bostic.
According to reviews, he spent 11 seasons with the Redskins and became an integral part of the team’s four Super Bowl games and three Super Bowl successes. They won Super Bowl XVII in 1983, the Super Bowl XXII in 1988 and finally, the Super Bowl XXVI in 1992. He was also a four-time Pro-Bowl selection and was included in the All-Pro selection also four times. Moreover, he was a Pro Football Hall of Fame semifinalist in five years and was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010. He is also an NFL 1980’s All-Decade Team selection. After his playing stints, he began coaching for the Redskins. After working as a tight-end and offensive line coach for the team, he moved to Pittsburgh Steelers as an assistant head coach. Currently, he coaches for Arizona Cardinals.

Born in Scottsdale, PA on May 2, 1959, Grimm stands 6'3 and weighs 273 lbs. He attended college at Pittsburgh. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the 3rd round (69th overall) of the 1981 NFL Draft. Grimm was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010, finalist in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, semi-finalist in 2004.
