Ruben Amaro (full name: Ruben Amaro Jr.; no nicknames) played outfielder and pinch hitter from 1991 until 1998 for the California Angels, Philadelphia Phillies and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Angels in 1991, Phillies from 1992 - 1998 and Indians from 1994 - 1995. Over 8 seasons, he played 485 games, hit 16 home runs, drove in 99 runs, and stole 15 bases. Born on February 12, 1965 in Philadelphia, PA, Amaro stands 5' 10" and weighs 170 lb. He attended William Penn Charter (Philadelphia, PA) high school and was drafted by the California Angels in the 11th round of the 1987 amateur draft. His debut was on June 8, 1991 and he played his final game on September 27, 1998. Over his career, Amaro made $1,246,000.
